she's probably in a manic phase at the moment. During this phase you feel great, as if there is nothing wrong. You don't feel like taking meds because you're afraid it'll diminish the good feeling. Sometimes this 'good' feeling can transition into irritability and manifest as fits of rage. The depressed patient is usually more ready to take meds. Try to convince her that she's manic and that this only lasts for a time before depression sets in. This is why mood stabilizers are essential.

read unquiet mind, she could not have lead a fulfilling life without medication and therapy, and learn about thousands of others whose lives are significantly improved with drugs, and people who were suicidal without them. People like you beleive that people who want to kill themselves should, and if they are helped in a way you don't agree with, you disagree with it.

Also, I was not abused in any way as a child and never have been. People are all different.

Actually, I have bipolar. I refuse to take meds and, instead, I meditate. When I'm overly hyper or very depressed, I will meditate and it does work for me. It all depends on the person.

I met a clinically-diagnosed "bipolar". Prolonged research via PubMed suggests the condition is very often a cynical fraud+hoax, used to explain/excuse/justify:selfishunpredictableimmoraldeceitfulvindictiveself-centeredunreasonableirrationalviciousvile/evil misconduct, to procure drugs/welfare checks/attention/sympathy.Advice how to deal with these cheats: RUN! Shun them immediately. Forever. It'll save time & grief. Find someone worthy of your kindness/affection. You've been warned!

ok, some of you may have bipolar, if you have a chronic condition, no meditation will help, also how have many of you were sexually and pysically abused as a child. true chronic bipolar will always require hospitalization.

your just a pussy who has an excuse for mental issues. find your self through some fuckin mediation practices and see if you keep taking your meds. I have bipolar 1(thats much more severe) i've grown completely out of it

shes right. there is not one piece of scientific evidence that supports it is a definite, incurable brain disease. I grew out of it completely at the age of 19. Anyone can develop the symptoms of this and schizophrenia to the fullest including hallucinations and then become completely normal after a period of time. Simply put your mind is so incredibly complex whether you are bright or not there is a chance of developing a dis-order, take meditation not Medication |
